Arsene Wenger and Jose Reyes have won the Barclays Manager and Player of the Month awards for August.
The Gunners enjoyed a 100 per cent start to the season with victories over Everton, Middlesbrough, Blackburn Rovers and Norwich City and currently sit top of the Barclays Premiership on goal difference, having scored 16 goals in their four games.
Wenger’s side made history when they eclipsed the 42-match unbeaten run set back in 1977 by Nottingham Forest with their home win over Blackburn.
And Spanish star Reyes, the club's record signing, has been instrumental in the Highbury outfit’s success this season. He is currently joint top scorer with four goals in the Barclays Premiership alongside team-mate Thierry Henry.
The award was decided by the Barclays Awards Panel, which includes representatives from football’s governing bodies, the media and fans.
Nic Gault, of the Barclays Awards Panel, said: "It has been a great start to the season for Arsene Wenger and Jose Reyes.
"Arsenal have bagged 16 goals in four games with Reyes getting four and they currently sit top of the Barclays Premiership.
"The Gunners have started the new season where they left off, and have done all of this without talismanic captain Patrick Vieira- a very impressive month."
