When i saw Sebastian play against Brasil and the way he frustrated them to not score and end up in penalties (i was wishing that he'd come to Arsenal). Sure enough, months later - i heard about a rumour and i couldn't believe it. The way that we let Baptista's transfer fail, i told myself not to get excited about Sebastian but finally Wenger does it;
He brought in Hleb who at the moment is performing at the top level above so many of his comrades (which amazes me on how fast he adapted to Arsenal's style of playing and his focus on attacking) and now he has brought in Sebastian. Viera flattered by Gunners link
Uruguayan goalkeeper Sebastian Viera has admitted he is flattered to be linked with a move to Arsenal.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger admitted earlier this week that he was interested in signing the Nacional custodian.
Both clubs are thought to be in talks over a possible move for Viera and the 22-year-old insists it would be a dream to play for Arsenal.
"An official of Arsenal had told me a while ago that they had been following my performances since some time ago and now they have decided to buy me," said Viera.
"Having the chance to sign at Arsenal and play in the English Premier League is a real dream.
"This is a very big team. I was very happy when I was given the news that the transfer had been done and I want to thank to all the people that made this possible.
"I owe many things to Nacional because that team gave me everything and if I was known by Arsenal it was thanks to Nacional.
"Now I have to look forward because I am getting a huge step in my career."
