WENGER WELCOMES SANTINI

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has welcomed the arrival of fellow Frenchman Jacques Santini at North London rivals Tottenham.
Santini will take over at White Hart Lane after leading France at Euro 2004 and Wenger is looking forward to building up a rivalry with the former Lyon coach.. Wenger backed Tottenham's appointment of Santini and is ready to pit his wits against his fellow countryman..
阿森纳主教练温格对桑帝尼入主热刺表示欢迎。桑帝尼在欧洲杯结束后将要出任热刺的主教练，温格表示非常期待与这位前里昂主教练的较量。
"I've got a great amount of respect for him as a man and as a coach," said Wenger.
"He is a great signing for Tottenham and it is very good for North London to have him at Tottenham as I'm sure he will be a success.
“无论从普通人的角度还是从一名教练的角度，我对桑帝尼的评价都是非常高的”。

Wenger also played down fears that Santini's appointment may cast a shadow over France's Euro 2004 bid.
"It should not make a difference," added Wenger.
