Freddie Ljungberg - I am staying at Highbury
Freddie Ljungberg has poured scorn on suggestions he wants to leave Arsenal.
Media reports this morning suggested the Swedish midfielder was set to end almost six years at Highbury with a transfer to an Italian club.
However, speaking to Arsenal.com, the 27-year-old was left scratching his head at the suggestion he wanted to move and revealed he has never discussed the possibility with Arsenal manager Arsène Wenger.
"I don't know where these stories about me leaving Arsenal have come from," he said.
"I enjoy playing football here. I have never had a conversation with the boss at any time about wanting to leave the Club and at the moment I am just focussing on the start of the new season."
