Wenger - I am NOT gunning for Owen

Arsène Wenger has refuted suggestions he is interested in buying Michael Owen.
The England striker has struggled since his summer move to Real Madrid and media reports this morning linked him with a move to Highbury.
Wenger rates the striker and believes he will come good in Spain but he will not be attempting to lure the former Liverpool front man back to England.
“I can only deny it,” he said. “It is not true."
He added: “We don’t want to buy anybody at the moment and I don’t think we need anybody up front.
“I don’t know why people want to move Michael Owen anyway. He went there [only] three months ago. He is in a new country and a new championship, give him time and he will show how good he is.”
