Wenger: 'We want to be among the best in the world'

...on qualifying top of the group "The target was to qualify, and we did that tonight with five goals and by finishing top of the group and so I am very happy. As far as Europe is concerned, the job is done - it would have been very hard for us if we had gone out tonight. We have quality and belief and it was obviously important for us tonight to qualify. We want to be among the best in the world."

...on his team's performance "It was not an easy game but Fabregas scored a great goal and the second half was a lot quieter. When they came back to 3-1 there was a little moment [of worry] but we always controlled the game and looked dangerous when we won the ball back."

...on Cesc Fabregas "It was an excellent goal and a very dominant performance by a 17-year-old boy, especially in the first half."

...on Manuel Almunia "I am a great believer in Manuel Almunia's potential. I just feel that he's playing under such a big pressure that he's not really himself. It's a national debate when we change a player, so it's not the best conditions for him to come into the team, especially when you don't have huge experience. It's very difficult for him."
