Arsene Wenger will wait until Saturday before deciding whether Freddie Ljungberg will feature in Arsenal's summit meeting with Chelsea.
Ljungberg is suffering from an acute migraine which forced him out of Arsenal's UEFA Champions League victory over Rosenborg on Tuesday.
The Sweden international was a late absentee from the team which ensured The Gunners progressed to the knockout phase of the competition.
His absence further weakened an Arsenal midfield which was already missing captain Patrick Vieira, Edu and Gilberto Silva.
That trio are still sidelined for Sunday's crunch tussle with Premiership leaders Chelsea at Highbury, leaving the inexperienced Cesc Fabregas and Mathieu Flamini as his central midfield options.
Though that pairing is likely to start against The Blues, Gunners chief Wenger wants to give Ljungberg as long as possible to return to peak condition.
"Freddie is a bit better today but I will make a decision on Saturday," Wenger told the club's official website.
Ljungberg is the only fresh concern for Wenger as he reported Ashley Cole, who limped off against Rosenborg, to be injury-free ahead of the visit of Chelsea.
He added: "It was an ongoing knee problem. It is more inflammation than an injury so he is not in any doubt for Sunday.
"Apart from that there is no news basically. Patrick Vieira is suspended, Edu, Gilberto, Pennant and Cygan are still out.
"The only one who could come back is Ljungberg."
