Lauren January decision
Arsene Wenger is expecting Arsenal full back Lauren's future to be resolved in the New Year.
The Cameroon defender is out of contract at the end of the season but has yet to concur on an extension at Highbury.
There were claims that Real Madrid had already concurred on a deal to sign the 27-year-old on a free transfer in the summer.
Those suggestions have been refuted but an agreement for Lauren to prolong his association with the Premiership champions has not yet been struck.
Gunners boss Wenger admits the holiday season has put further talks with Lauren on the backburner but he is expecting discussions in January.
Wenger hopes next month will prove decisive in determining whether the right back stays in North London or leaves for pastures new.
"I feel it will all be sorted out in January," said Wenger.
"Now, over Christmas, many people are away and the agents are not available so we will let Christmas pass by, do well over Christmas and see what happens.
"I hope so," added the French tactician in response to whether Lauren will sign a new contract.
"We have always shown great stability at our club. That's what we want to achieve."
