Arsenal are monitoring Nigerian starlet Oluwasegun Abiodun who plays in Norway for Ham-Kam.
The powerful 20-year-old striker is hot property in Scandinavia and has already been the subject of unsuccessful bids from Ham-Kam's Norwegian rivals Rosenborg and Valerenga since joining last summer.
Abiodun originally sprung to prominence as Nigeria won the African Under-17 Championship in 2001, before helping them to the final of the World Under-17 Championship against France later that year.
His displays in those tournaments won him a move to Israeli outfit Maccabi Haifa where he linked up with compatriot, and current Portsmouth star, Yakubu Aiyegbeni.
Abiodun played in the UEFA Champions League during his time at Maccabi, but endured problems after the departure of Yakubu to English football and opted to move to UAE outfit Al Wahda.
After a short spell in the Middle East he returned to Europe with Ham-Kam where he has caught the eye of a number of European teams with his displays.
The player's agent Tom Poldner insists that Arsenal, Anderlecht and Feyenoord have all watched the youngster in action, but is not looking to secure a move in the near future.
Poldner is adamant that the African should remain in Norway for the current season at least before considering a move to one of Europe's bigger leagues.
"I have told Abiodun to just think about Ham-Kam as long as he is in Norway," he told Hamar Arbeiderblad.
"It is there he will get the best support and development. Anderlecht and Feyenoord are very interested.
"Arsenal have also studied him, but I feel it's best that he play out this season at Ham-Kam.
"If he does play well, he can be sold at the end of the season."
