English clubs could move for Guti
Real Madrid director of football Arrigo Sacchi says they are trying to help unsettled midfielder Guti find a way out of the club.
Guti, 28, has been linked with Arsenal, Tottenham, Liverpool and Everton as well as Juventus and AC Milan.
"The president wants to help him and he wants to leave but the third ingredient is missing - a club that wants to buy him," Sacchi said.
"If one comes forward then we will talk," he said in Spanish paper Marca.
Guti has found first-team opportunities hard to come by at the Bernabeu and is keen for a fresh start elsewhere.
Sacchi added: "Guti is a great player and he has made it clear he wants to play. But where? I could put him on the wing but he feels happier just behind the forwards or up front.
"In those positions we already have (Zinedine) Zidane and Raul, two great champions, and further forward we have Ronaldo, (Michael) Owen and we may have Robinho too.
"So in order to play, Guti has to play out of position and that's why we understand his request."
The £13m-rated midfielder has expressed interest in joining Arsene Wenger's side.
"After Real Madrid, his only desire if he was to move to England, would be to play for Arsenal," his agent Zoran Vekic has said.
"He likes their style, team spirit and, of course, they have a great coach."
He was close to joining the Gunners in an £11m deal two years ago but had cold feet at the last minute and instead signed to stay in the Spanish capital.
Liverpool were thought to be leading the chase to sign Guti but boss Rafael Benitez has since changed his priorities, leaving the way open for Arsenal.
However, Wenger is unlikely to meet Real's £13m valuation and will hope to negotiate any potential fee down to £8m.
