Alexandre Song has joined Arsenal on loan with a view to a permanent deal.

The 17-year-old first came to the Club on trial during pre-season and played in all three friendlies as part of the Austrian tour.

Song played as a left back at Bastia last season but has operated in central midfielder during his time at Highbury. His new manager feels the new addition gives depth to his squad in that position.

“We have just bought in Song,” said Arsène Wenger on Friday afternoon. “It is a loan with an option to buy.

"He is only 17-and-a-half but from what I have seen he is a very good player. It means we have four central midfielders now. We have Gilberto, Fabregas and Flamini too. Don’t forget Flamini, I think he will be a very good player.”

前年号称天才前锋的帕帕多普洛斯也是以“with a view to a permanent deal”的方式租借而来，结果整个赛季好像就获得了一次出场机会，最终没能留下来，现在中场缺人，宋估计能获得蛮多出场机会的，看看他自己能不能把握住了……
