虽然Linkin Park万众瞩目的第三张专辑还在紧张的制作中，但乐队的两个主唱Chester Bennington和Mike Shinoda均爆出了发行个人专辑的消息。其中Fort Minor(Mike Shinoda)的新专辑"The Rising Tied"将率先于11月亮相，由于在这张专辑的制作过程中Mike Shinoda得到了众多朋友的帮助，所以他决定以Fort Minor这个名字取代自己的名字来发行新专辑，而先前确定的首支单曲"Remember The Name"也最终被"Petrified"所取代，我想这主要是因为"Petrified"这首歌曲不但拥有强劲的hip-hop节奏而且还继承了Linkin Park音乐中的金属感，而借助着乐队光环的照耀他的solo事业也毕将取得更大的成功。另外Fort Minor在自己的网站上也引入的一种独特的文字编码方式，虽然没有Coldplay的Baudot Code编码来的美观，但也是非常有意思，比如"welcome to my blog"翻译成Fort Minor编码便是："+＄}!?|＄ )? |\ #}?'"。
林肯公园主唱之一迈克即将于今年十一月下旬正式推出个人solo专辑，参与这张专辑的还有几位知名地下说唱手，包括Styles of Beyond 里面的三位成员，还有一位鼓手，他的名字叫Beat Down。他们和迈克化身为Fort Minor乐队，将在这张专辑中玩转hip hop。专辑抢先曝光的第一首单曲名为《remember the name》。而这组新成军的hip hop乐队刚刚结束他们在欧洲的巡回演出。据悉，这张专辑中将收入14首歌，喜欢嘻哈音乐的歌迷们走过路过千万不要错过。
