Will have to wait for the source for the quotes for a few days, but it seems only too likely.... with such a confirmation in place, might Wenger go back on his words and sign someone new? Anyway:
Wiltord and Kanu to go
Having secured Sol Campbell on a free, Wenger experiences the other side of the Bosman rule

Arsenal are set to write off a £17.5m investment at the season's end as the strikers Sylvain Wiltord and Kanu leave for nothing.
Arsenal have offered Wiltord a new deal but with significantly reduced terms - believed to be about half of his current £30,000 a week wages. And Kanu has been told that his manager Arsène Wenger will not be renewing his contract.
Wenger put a positive spin on the situation last night, claiming Wiltord's summer exit is his own choice and that, having secured Sol Campbell on a free transfer from Tottenham in 2001, it would be hypocritical to complain. "He is committed, but it is the Bosman rule, and you have to respect it."
