Arsène Wenger is hoping for a conclusion to the signing of Theo Walcott “in the next 24 hours”.
Speaking exclusively to Arsenal TV Online on Thursday afternoon the Arsenal manager stressed that a deal had not been done with the 16-year-old Southampton winger but he anticipated a resolution — one way or another — on Friday.

“We are very heavily in the race,” the Frenchman told the Club’s official website, “but nothing is done and, as long as nothing is signed, you cannot talk about it.
“However, we are hoping to get a decision in the next 24 hours.”
