Cesc Fabregas has received his first call-up to the Spain squad ahead of next week's friendly against Ivory Coast.

The 18-year-old earned rave reviews after an outstanding display at Real Madrid in midweek and has been rewarded for his consistent performances in the Arsenal midfield this season.
Fabregas was part of a national side get-together before Christmas but now has a chance to stake his claim for a place in Spain's squad for the forthcoming World Cup in Germany.
Fabregas has enjoyed a meteoric rise since joining Arsenal from Barcelona in September 2003.
He became Arsenal's youngest-ever player when he made his debut against Rotherham a month later aged 16 years and 177 days. Thirty-five days later a goal against Wolves made Fabregas the Club's youngest-ever goalscorer.
As well as Ivory Coast, Spain have scheduled games against Russia, Egypt and either Croatia or Slovenia before this summer's tournament.
Spain have been drawn in Group H alongside Ukraine, Tunisia and Saudi Arabia at the World Cup.
