最绝的是Neil Diamond的歌“Girl，You'll Be A Woman Soon”竟成了乌玛·瑟曼嗑药体验的迷幻成长的最佳主题曲，Urge Overkill一副混江湖的嗓音，搔尽性感挑逗的骚味，切中趣味核心的对白，甚至带动90年代原声碟再度将对白轧进音乐歌曲的制作手法。但是唯有此张才有酷毙性格，其它只会制造混淆、厌烦的听觉；导演昆汀·塔伦提诺了解歌的性格，将冲浪音乐、灵魂乐、孤郁民谣拼贴出一种走路有风的复古时尚，原来江湖味也可是蛮高尚的呢！
在涅磐把地下另类摇滚带入主流以前，Urge Overkill在芝加哥地下已小有名气了，他们幽雅、沉重的arena rock(竞技摇滚)、power-pop(强力流行乐)和地下朋克乐确实有一举成名的实力，这看上去只是时间的问题。涅磐成功后，另类摇滚走红，但具有反主流这一致命弱点的Urge Overkill并未能够搭上这趟顺风车，他们明目张胆地对主流社会的一切予以否定，结果只有一个，乐队在推出了几张失败的专辑后，遭到大唱片工业的排挤而提前退出了竞争。但这并不能掩没他们过人的音乐才华，在地下世界他们依然拥有巨大的号召力。
