RUUD GULLIT last night delivered a blistering attack on Arsenal's bid to sign wonderkid Robin van Persie, claiming the youngster would regret moving to Highbury.
The former Chelsea boss, who takes over as Feyenoord manager next season, accused the Gunners of being a graveyard for young talent and warned van Persie that he would struggle to get a game.
Gullit is angry that van Persie's head has been turned by Arsenal's interest and vented his fury on the Londoners.
"Teams like Arsenal believe they can just do business like this and expect the rest of us to accept it," he said. "It is typical of the kind of thing that happens in English football.
"Now we must fight to keep a player who should be learning here with us until he is ready to move.
"It is not good enough. He will not benefit from going to Arsenal." Gullit believes his argument is backed up by the likes of Jermaine Pennant, Francis Jeffers, Matthew Upson and Richard Wright - all of whom failed to break into the Arsenal first-team on a regular basis.
