Rafael van der Vaart is the new HSV skipper. The decision was announced by coach Thomas Doll at the club training camp in Going/Austria on Saturday (22.7.06) after Daniel van Buyten left the club to join Bayern Munich: "It is a tremendous honour form e to wear the HSV captain's armband and to lead this super team onto the field of play", said a delighted van der Vaart on hearing the news.
