Arsenal are seeking talks with American billionaire Stan Kroenke.
Arsenal's veteran chairman Peter Hill-Wood has now confirmed that executives of the club are trying to meet Denver-based Kroenke within a week to discover his specific plans.
The club's board have made it clear they have no intention of selling up to the American, whose current holding is 12.19%.
Hill-Wood said: "We are hoping to meet with Kroenke and we have decided to meet on neutral ground.
"We already have a marketing arrangement with his club Colorado Rapids and he has apparently bought 50 per cent of Arsenal Broadband."
The summit may be held in Iceland and Hill-Wood could find a frosty reception after earlier jibes that Kroenke knows "sweet FA about our football" and a claim that "we don't want his sort" at the club.
