回复:一年一度的夏季转会YY贴又新鲜出炉了!
Arsenal want to sign Lille midfielder Jean II Makoun as a replacement for the outgoing Mathieu Flamini, according to Makoun’s agent Jean-Christophe Thouvenel.
With AC Milan vice-chairman Adriano Galliani confirming that Flamini is set to sign a four-year contract with the Rossoneri on Sunday, the Ashburton Grove club will be looking for a replacement in the midfield holding role, particularly with Brazilian Gilberto also linked with a summer departure.
Thouvenel told Setanta Sports that his client, who has also been linked in the British press with a move to Tottenham Hotspur, is on Arsène Wenger’s summer short-list of transfer targets.
“Makoun is on Arsenal’s shortlist if Flamini leaves. It is planned that he will leave LOSC at the end of the season and moving to England is part of his objective," he said.
“I can tell you for sure that Jean II is appreciated by Arsène Wenger, but the transfer period has not started yet so I will not lie – negotiations are yet to start.
“He is short and not a monster but his involvement on the pitch is huge and he is a fighter. He is not the only one on Arsenal’s list.”
Spurs also in the hunt
"Tottenham are also interested and I believe that Damien Comolli [the Tottenham sporting director] is an admirer of Jean II,” continued Thouvenel.
Makoun, well known to English fans for his appearances for Lille against Manchester United in the Champions League, has built a strong reputation over the past three years in France. He would be yet another French addition to an Arsenal side looking to end their four-year wait for a Premiership title next season.
