引进15岁的新鲁尼
Arsenal have put forward a contract offer to Plymouth striker Aaron Spear, but contrary to reports this morning, he is yet to make a final decision on his future.
Argyle announced last week they granted Newcastle and another Premiership side permission to talk to Spear, but since this news broke, several other clubs have made contact regarding the player. He spent three hours talking with Newcastle scout Lil Fuccillo and director of football Dennis Wise last week, and it seemed he had set his heart on a move to Tyneside, only for Plymouth to rebuff their £150.000 offer.
Roy Massesy and Liam Brady are big fans of Aaron, and launched a bid for his services after he impressed against the Gunners during a friendly last season. It was subsequently rejected, but we have come to the table with a brand new offer, which is being considered.
The players agent will now spend the next days looking over the offers with his client, but Young Guns understands he would prefer a move to either Portsmouth or Newcastle, due to the amount of competition currently in the youth ranks at Arsenal.
Spear is a striker by trade, but can also play in the traditional “number 10″ role. He is very physically and mentally strong, as well as great in the air. Whilst he is not overlay quick, he seems to find himself in the right place at the right time to score his goals, and at just 15 is already been talked about as the “new Wayne Rooney”.
I actually know Aaron, and he is a brilliant young guy, very down to earth and mature, and he will certainly go far in football. He has aspirations to be around the first team at around 17/18, and realistically would stand a much better chance elsewhere.
