people call out for signings.then when we are linked with good players you dismiss them.get a grip on reality.wenger will never sign big players.or the ones that are on everyones radar.
all the talk of lescott, hangeland, cana, melo, yaya, huntelaar is rubbish.
we will always sign players like vermaelen, chamakh and the likes.
chamakh is a tall, fast striker with a great work rate and lots of skill and flair.you criticise us for not playing the same style as the invincibles with great passing and open play.then when we are linked with a player who could bring that style back he is deemed not good enough because youve seen one youtube clip of him.
fow what its worth i think chamakh would be a great winger/striker.seeing as all of our strikers play there anyway at some point i think he would do well there.he has great pace.plenty of tricks.a great engine combined with a massive work rate.cuts in well from the wings as well as taking players on the outside.and considering we are looking to cut out the "targetman option" his crossing wouldnt matter.the only problem i have with him is that he would be leaving in january to go to the acn.
vermaelen to shore up the defence with his positioning and anticipation, reading of the game and organisation
chamakh to be a fresh face and to bring more pace and bribbling ability.i would actually welcome him with open arms.hed bring a new option to our attack.could play on the left and let arshavin go upfront
and we dont need a dm.we need a box to box midfielder.if we were to play with a dm we would have to play fabregas as an attacking midfielder.which he just isnt.flamini wasnt a dm,and pv4 certainly wasnt a dm.out of all of the players we have now who would in the long run be able to play "beside" fabregas not behind him,its diaby.both cm's should share attacking and defending jobs.denilson is more of a fab replacement.song is a cb playing well at cm.in the long run hes like a yaya with better passing.
but diaby can attack and if neccesary we will beat his defensive qualities into him like chelsea did with parker.but he wont lose his attacking prowess.
i can see us going without a new cm.though i want one i think all our players are getting better every season and with a better defense and fabregas back to keep posession we wont see as much counter attacking, nor will we see more static passing around the box with no bite or intent
i think a cup competition is on the way next season and a better finish in the league.we may still finish fourth but with a much smaller gap between us and first.with a bit of luck we could be in the title race for a long enough period.instead of the "we are still technically in the race" though its march and were 10 points off first and in a bad run of form.
