Arsene Wenger has indicated that up and coming forward David Bentley will be loaned next season. Wenger said this as he indicated his need for a new striker for next season.
"We have David Bentley, who will go on loan somewhere to play," he said.
"He is the closest to the first team now but is losing his timing in the reserves.
"We have Ryan Smith, who has tremendous ability, but was kicked down in a stupid match and has had surgery now on a knee injury and could lose six to eight months."
"We feel we have an idea who is coming, and if there is a good opportunity, we will take one more striker."
This news lends weight to reports coming out of Holland that Arsenal have already signed Feyenoord's Robin Van Persie.
Wenger also indicated the other young members of the squad whom he expected to break through next season: "We have Cesc in the midfield, Senderos could make some appearances and Justin Hoyte."
