Good news ahead of the Highbury clash with Birmingham comes in the form of Freddie Ljungberg's return from injury.
The Swede has been sidelined since the 4-2 victory over Liverpool with a broken hand which had to be operated on, but is set to return on Saturday.
Sylvain Wiltord is out with an ankle injury (again) as is Pascal Cygan.
Also out is Brazilian midfielder Edu, who was hit in the eye by the ball in the closing stages of his international debut against Hungary.
"The doctor confirmed it's nothing serious, but getting hit again could cause bigger problems," said the Brazilian.
"I won't be able to train with my team-mates (this week) because there's a risk of getting hit again or clashing heads, but I'll be allowed to take individual exercise. So I'm going to keep training in the gym."
Speaking about Wiltord, Arsene had this to say:
"He still has inflammation on his ankle. He got a knock in the last game, we are a little bit cautious with him because he could have the European Championships (coming up) and doesn't want to be exposed now. We will take the needed time with him."
"I don't think he will play next week but he could be back for the last game against Leicester."
We wish Sylvain, Pascal and Edu speedy recoveries.
