Leeds striker Alan Smith has refused to rule out a move to the club's bitter rivals Manchester United.

Many felt that the lifelong Whites fan would shy away from a switch across the Pennines to Old Trafford rather than risk upsetting the Elland Road supporters who idolise him.
However, the 23-year-old England forward insists the chance to join a big club who would help him challenge for major honours and further his international career would overrule any such emotions.
很多人都认为这个钟爱利兹的前锋不可能会转会到老特拉夫德而去伤害热爱他的埃兰路的球迷们。但是，这位23岁的英格兰前锋坚持他将转会到一家大的俱乐部，一个可以帮他获得更多的荣誉，使他的事业更进一步的俱乐部。
Smith told Radio Five Live: “At this stage you can’t rule out anything. People always say that Leeds United and Man United are big rivals but next year we are not even going to be in the same division so it’s not even a rivalry.
