Wenger wants Vieira's future resolved by Saturday

Arsene Wenger wants Patrick Vieira's future to be resolved before the champions kick off their Premiership title defence against Everton at the weekend.
The Arsenal captain has been linked with a move to Real Madrid and Wenger is determined to draw a line under the transfer speculation and turn his focus to the new season.
"I don't think it will go on," said the Arsenal manager after Sunday's 3-1 Community Shield win over Manchester United, a game Vieira missed through injury.
"As I have said, my intention is to keep him. He has given eight fantastic years and I want him to be part of our future but he has to be clear in his mind.
Wenger has re-iterated his desire to keep Vieira on a number of occasions this summer. Now the Arsenal manager wants his captain to clarify his intentions.
"If he stays, I want him to be committed, not half-in, half-out, and therefore we are waiting for him to make a decision," said Wenger.
"When he is clear in his head he has to come out and say what he wants to do, and he has to do that quickly, by Saturday. You need your captain to be focused. Real Madrid start their season in September, but we start next week.
"I know what I want, I know what the Club wants. The Club doesn't want the money, the Club doesn't want him to go. Everyone wants him to stay and he can make a difference.
"It's down to him to stay and be focused on what we want to achieve together. That can only be possible if he is really convinced by that."
Arsenal's victory in Cardiff saw them complete their pre-season fixtures without tasting defeat, but Wenger admitted that the Vieira saga has disrupted the squad's preparations for the new campaign.
"We have been disrupted by this talk," said Wenger. "But I'm not resigned to let that story go on and on.
"We know that the challenge we have in front of us is hugely difficult and we need a complete focus. Before you start the season you want your captain to be focused on what the team wants to achieve."

阿森纳在社区盾杯的胜利使得他们在赛季前的热身赛中保持了不败，但是温格承认维埃拉的去留问题确实影响了他们对新赛季的备战。“我确实受到了这件事情的影响，但是我不会再让谣言这么下去。我们知道我们现在面对的挑战有多么严峻，我们需要完全的投入。在新赛季开始之前，我需要我们的队长能够完全的投入到我们的事业之中！”
