ARSÈNE WENGER ...on the result "I am disappointed. They gave us the ball, they sucked us in, they tried to get us on the break and of course the most important thing was to open the scoring. ...on Crystal Palace "Crystal Palace do it their way but they do it well. They had a great physical energy and at the moment they are on a high. You can see that we are not physically at our best at the moment and that made a difference today. Will Palace be able to sustain that physical level all season? I am not sure but at the moment they are a difficult opponent."

...on Arsenal's recent form "You go through periods like this. I don't think it was a problem with confidence [against Palace], but we wanted to force the issue sometimes with shots from longer range. But they defended so deep with nine men every time and just Andy Johnson up front, and we needed a two-goal cushion to feel really secure. I feel the way we gave a goal away was unexpected. I thought the players were concentrated, they finished the game 'dead' after giving absolutely everything, but at the moment we are going through a period where it is a little bit difficult for us. The most important thing is to stick together and keep our spirit high. It will come back."
