Young Gunners may shake Blues - Henry
Thierry Henry admits Chelsea are "cruising" in the Barclays Premiership - but the French striker believes Arsenal's gifted young newcomers could help throw their title rivals off course.
The Gunners will be without their suspended captain Patrick Vieira as well as their experienced Brazilian midfield duo, who are injured, for Sunday's match against Chelsea at Highbury. But Henry claims the performance of Cesc Fabregas and Mathieu Flamini against Rosenborg in the Champions League last night should inspire confidence.
Fabregas, 17, scored a stunning goal against the fragile Norwegians - while 21-year-old Flamini provided the physical presence - and Henry believes their youthfulness belies powerful qualities.
He said: "Cesc and Mathieu showed that they didn't hide. They played their part out there against Rosenborg and tried to help us.
"Cesc has been showing he is a talent and has quality. People don't really know Mathieu well. But he was in the UEFA Cup Final last season against Valencia, who are a great team, and he has some experience of Europe. He showed that he is here to add to the squad.
"People have been saying that we don't have as large a squad as some of the teams in the Premiership. But we do have some young players, not just Cesc and Mathieu but also Justin Hoyte and others."
Henry also rejected suggestions that Chelsea have been enjoying a run of easy games.
He said: "I don't see how anyone can say they've not had hard games. That's unfair. They're playing well."
