Thierry Henry could be a doubt for the start of next season, according to the expert who has been working on his Achilles problem.
The talismanic Frenchman is currently on international duty at the World Cup, with his goal against Brazil on Saturday enough to book his side a semi-final spot.
While the whole of France are grateful that Henry is fit to start, the striker has been nursing a long-term Achilles tendon injury
Professor Nicola Maffulli, a leading specialist, was brought to North London in a bid to rid the player of the problem but he has now warned that playing at the World Cup could aggravate the issue.
Maffulli believes that Henry needed a period of rest over the summer and is of the opinion that his World Cup duties could prove to be to Arsenal's cost come the start of the new season.
''The problem for Thierry was not an inflammation of his Achilles but the fact that it was not repairing itself sufficiently between matches,'' he told the News of the World.
''What Thierry needed was really a summer of rest but, of course, he is placing the tendon under further stress.
''This could affect his pre-season preparation and ultimately his ability to get ready for the start of the new season.
''Arsenal originally came to me because they were having trouble coming up with a solution for Thierry's problem.
''I was able to come up with a range of therapies to try and rehabilitate his ankle.
''My methods allowed him to return last season and return to his best form.''转自http://home.skysports.com/worldcup/article.aspx?HLID=400049&CPID=4&title=Henry+worry+for+Arsenal&lid=&channel=worldcup2006&f=rss&clid=
