Arsene Wenger's - predictably - praised the team spirit during his post-match comments at St.James' Park. He's refusing to say that the title race is all but over, stessing the fact that we have to keep taking points.
He said:
"There's a long way to go, but certainly now the Highbury performances will be vital for us, and it will start on Friday night against Leeds. The run is a secondary target because our target is to finish as high as we can. The only thing I can say is it helps, the run we're on has helped us to keep going, and we'll see.
"We go from game to game and as I say, Highbury will be certainly decisive. It's far from being done because there are six games to go and we have tricky games, but the spirit is there, the desire is there, and the way the boys have recovered is a lesson."
"There was a big disappointment from Tuesday night, and the way the boys have responded in the two performances since deserves a lot of credit."
