Italy will play an historic friendly match in Peking in November following the Euro 2004 tournament.

The FIGC has confirmed the date for this prestigious and unusual game against China on November 17.

The agreement was announced by the Government as part of a new scheme to combine sport with commerce.

“This arrangement will allow the Italian product to make its mark on the international markets in conjunction with events around the Azzurri squad,” explained Vice-Minister Adolfo Urso.
“The friendly game in China set for November 17 will be the first event organised with this in mind.”
The revelation comes just days after Italy confirmed a friendly match in Tunisia on Sunday May 30, a warm-up for the European Championships.
