PIERRE WOME JOINS INTER

MILAN - Cameroonian player Pierre Nlend Wome has joined FC Internazionale on a one-year contract (expires on 30 June 2006), which was registered at the Lega Calcio offices this morning.
" Wome has been one of our objectives for several months," said technical director Marco Branca and transfer market consultant Gabriele Oriali. "So we are pleased we have done a deal that is technically useful for the team and economically in line with the club's project.
" Wome is still a young player (he turned 26 last 26 March), but he has the right Italian and international experience to best settle down into Roberto Mancini's squad. Wome can cover a number of roles with consistency, and at left-back he has performed to excellent levels, last season and not just, when he was always among the best on the pitch for Brescia."
