In what is a great boost for the Hyundai A-League, former Chinese international Shengqing Qu, has decided to return and play for Adelaide United in the upcoming season.
Qu was a sensation last season scoring some of the best goals seen throughout the inaugural Hyundai A-League season and helped guide Adelaide to the Premiership.
His stay in Adelaide was thought to be a short one, with his decision for returning to China, based on his families homesickness. But it appears he and his family have had a change of heart and when contacted about a return to the South Australian capital, he was more than keen.
The club also said, Qu would be in much better shape leading into this season than last, where he lacked match fitness and was also struck by a car in Adelaide.
He is likely to join his teammates in about two or three weeks time, while he sorts out his transfer from his Chinese Super League team.
