Arsenal striker Thierry Henry has won the Barclaycard Golden Boot Award and has also been named the Player of the Season. Henry picks up the Barclaycard Golden Boot award having netted 30 goals in 37 games. The Arsenal player抯 goal tally stands eight ahead of his nearest rival, Alan Shearer, who finished with 22 goals. As the winner of the Barclaycard Golden Boot Henry has won ?,000 for every goal he has scored for a charity of his choice. Henry is the first player to score 30 goals in a Premiership season since Kevin Phillips in 1999/2000 and only the fifth player to achieve the landmark in the league's history. Meanwhile, Arsène Wenger has been named as the Barclaycard Manager of the Year for 2003/04 having guided Arsenal to an unbeaten top-flight season, the first since 1889. The statistics speak for themselves this season: 26 wins, 12 draws and no losses, finishing with 90 points, 11 points clear of second placed Chelsea and 30 points clear of fourth-placed Liverpool. Arsène's side have not lost a Barclaycard Premiership match since May 2003, a 3-2 home defeat to Leeds United.
