Pires determined to make his mark on Euro
Having missed the 2002 World Cup after suffering a terrible knee injury, Pires is determined to make his mark on Euro 2004. "I only played a few matches at Euro 2000, and just a few minutes at the 1998 World Cup," he said. His family - Pires has a Portuguese father, called Antonio - will be on hand to watch Pires in action in Lisbon on Sunday. "I bought 40 places, they've all gone," he said.
