Aliadiere facing "several months" out after knee injury

Arsenal striker Jeremie Aliadiere will be out for several months after rupturing his anterior cruciate ligament in the Community Shield yesterday.
The 21-year-old replaced Dennis Bergkamp on the hour and just eight minutes later fell awkwardly in a challenge and was stretchered off. After a scan today, the Club released the following statement detailing the bad news.
“Further to the injury sustained in the Community Shield, it has been confirmed that Jeremie Aliadiere has ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament and will be out for several months.
“Our thoughts are with Jeremie and everyone at the Club wishes him a speedy recovery.”
