Arsène Wenger has admitted that Spanish midfielder Miguel Angulo is "a player we are looking at" but believes any deal is unlikely to be sealed before the transfer deadline closes on Monday.
The 27-year-old has been at the hub of Valencia's success in recent years and indeed played in the side that knocked Arsenal out of the Champions League of 2001 and 2003.
"At the moment, he is a player we are looking at but we are still very far from completing a move for him," said Wenger. "To me it is looking too short [before the transfer deadline]."
It is a similar situation with Hatem Trabelsi. Over the summer, Wenger revealed an interest in the Tunisian right back.
