"我是男巫"。这个28岁的年轻唱作人在歌里这样形容自己的才华。没错,这就是那个喜欢坏坏的歪着嘴唱歌,乍看像休.格兰特的似乎永远长不大的可爱男人---Jason Mraz。
Jason Mraz,1977年出生的美国小伙子,来自美国的Mechanicsville。Jason最初在一些音乐剧院里接触音乐,但真正开始玩音乐是从中学时搬到纽约上美国音乐影艺学院(American Musical and Dramatic Academy)开始.一年之后,18岁的他发现自己真正想要的是音乐创作,于是辍学开始了自己的吉他创作之旅。

在纽约辗转多年之后,Jason又回到了弗尼吉亚,之后又在1999年来到圣地亚哥这个以众多可供唱作人们演出的咖啡馆闻名的城市.在这里,Jason开始演出遇到对他有深远影响的鼓手Toca Rivera。接下来的两年,Jason和他的乐手们开始离开圣地亚哥向洛杉基发展, 逐渐的,他精彩的现场表演吸引了唱片公司的注意,并在2002年赢得一纸Elektra唱片合约.于是在著名制作人John Alagia(同时也是the Dave Matthews Band和John Mayer的制作人)的帮助下制作了自己的处男专集Waiting for My Rocket to Come,在这张发行于2002年11月的专集里,给Jason伴奏的正是他高中时心目中的英雄乐队the Agents of Good Roots。

时隔三年,终于等到了新专辑。
