Ars鑞e Wenger rates Arsenal's chances of dipping into the transfer market during the January window at "20 percent".
In an exclusive interview with Arsenal PLUS on Thursday afternoon, the manager outlined why he might possibly open his cheque book having previously suggested he would not be in the market.
"We have Wiltord and Aliadiere injured and they could be out for weeks," said Wenger. "Kanu has gone [to the African Nations Cup] as well.
"That is why, should the right opportunity come up, I might have to take a chance. At the moment it is 80 per cent no and 20 per cent yes. I have not made up my mind but I only have 10 days."
The manager also confirmed that striker Dennis Bergkamp is likely to return for Saturday's FA Cup fourth-round tie with Middlesbrough after missing the last five games with a calf injury. However top-scorer Thierry Henry will be rested.
