Henry picks up the award after netting three goals last month to help maintain Arsenal's unbeaten start to the Premiership season, a record which leaves the Gunners two points clear at the top of the table. Henry's goal tally, which stood at 16 at the end of January, also puts him in a great position to challenge for the Golden Boot. The French striker is now only two goals away from reaching the prestigious landmark of 100 goals in the Premiership. Dwight Yorke is the only overseas player to have reached that milestone since the Premiership was formed. Henry was chosen to win the award by the Barclaycard Panel, which includes representatives from football's governing bodies, the media and fans. Edu deserves his Brazil chance, says Gilberto At the moment, Gilberto is Arsenal's only regular fixture in the Brazil squad. The accomplished midfielder has been a mainstay ever since he helped his country to World Cup glory in 2002. But the 27-year-old suspects he will have a familiar face alongside him when he flies out to South America for World Cup qualifiers in the coming months - Edu. Gilberto's compatriot has earned rave reviews for his influential performances this season, regardless of whether he starts or emerges from the substitutes bench. Edu helped turn the tide against Chelsea on Sunday after replacing the injured Ray Parlour. His intelligent passing, robust tackling and workrate helped Arsenal take a grip in midfield. Gilberto was impressed and is backing Edu to force his way into the Brazil squad sooner rather than later. "Yes, he does deserve a chance," he told Arsenal.com.
