根据葡萄牙的报道，阿森纳加入了对里卡多-夸莱斯马的堂弟朱里安-夸莱斯马的争夺，小夸莱斯马是右路球员。媒体报道阿森纳要想得到朱里安-夸莱斯马，需要和罗马，波尔图的竞争。小夸莱斯马是右边锋，他的特点和他的堂兄夸莱斯马和C罗非常相似，现在与阿森纳联系得非常紧密。
夸莱斯马说：“如果我的小堂弟真的转会到阿森纳，我只有给他最好的祝福他。我和温格的关系非常好，如果他真的转会到阿森纳，我非常希望温格能好好的培养他，因为在我看来他比我出色两倍。温格在2007年夏天想得到我，我必须承认他是（was)我的首选。”
小夸莱斯马有望在2008年12月转会到欧洲的一家俱乐部。在边锋的位置上被认为未来之星的的小夸莱斯马，但是却是一个超级进球机器，据说他场均2球。而且他的球队都赢球了。现在在北美的一家俱乐部踢球。

Many reports have been published that Quaresma's younger cousin Julian Quaresma Barbosa is coming to join his cousin in Europe at Arsenal in 2009. When asked about it Quaresma responded with " Its a possibility he is thinking about coming to Europe, he's 17 years of age as of right now and he is the leading scorer in every north American league, to play with my little cousin would be a great treat, I believe he is two times better then me at football, and if he does join Arsenal FC or FC Porto it would be a dream to see him along side me or even it Europe. The younger Quaresma has reportedly coming to Europe in February 2009 and is looking at joining either AS Roma, Arsenal FC, and FC Porto, but Arsenal FC being his 1st choice. Julian has drawn comparisons to his cousin Ricardo Quaresma and to Portuguese phenomenal Cristiano Ronaldo. We don't know the exact fact of were the young Quaresma will play next year but many believe he could be the next Luis Figo , expect to see Julian to sign a deal in Europe by December of 2008.
