Real Madrid Offer Arsene Wenger €113m To Spend
Real Madrid have offered Arsene Wenger another carrot in their bid to land him as their coach next season.
According to The Daily Mirror, Florentino Perez, who is certain to assume the presidency of the club, has promised Wenger in excess of €113 million (£100m) to buy new players. In addition, the Frenchman would be on a salary of approximately €6.8m a year.
The Arsenal boss has had a tumultuous week, with his frustration said to have reached tipping point when shareholders criticised his methods. In addition, the Gunners' transfer budget for next season is rumoured to be only around the £13 million mark, although chairman Peter Hill-Wood has denied this.
Given Wenger's reluctance to spend big money throughout his career, it remains to be seen whether Perez's promise actually appeals to the French tactician
