Wenger: 'Outstanding' Pires is back to his best Robert Pires hit his 50th Arsenal goal in Saturday's 2-1 win over Charlton at Highbury. "Robert has now scored his 50th goal for the Club and he has been an outstanding player for us," said Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger. "He is back to his best and we are very pleased for him. "Overall, his contribution has been fantastic because he came here anonymous and he has made a big impact and a big name. Reyes aims to copy the Henry blueprint The Spanish striker is still working his way into English football after his multi-million pound transfer on January 27. A double strike against Chelsea in the FA Cup fifth round has eased his transition somewhat but, with only four starts to his name, there is a long way to go. Like Henry, 20-year-old Reyes arrived as a left-sided winger but is being converted into a pacy striker with an eye for goal. The former Seville star likes the comparison. "I think Mr Wenger will help me improve as part of the team and maybe I can become a star in the same way Henry has," he said. "It is very easy to play with the best players, such as Thierry. We speak the same language - the language of football." Reyes describes the speed of the English game as "incredible", adding that even his electric pace is being tested.
